Achilles Support

Achilles is a personal planner for your day, health habits, money and studies. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone; there's no account.

In the app, Settings › Send feedback or report a problem writes the email for you, with your Achilles and iOS versions filled in. We answer email within two business days. Please don't send screenshots that show your data; we never need it to help.

When something doesn't work, it helps to include:

Requirements

An iPhone with iOS 26 or later. Logging purchases and payments from Wallet and email notifications, and the Daily Brief, need iOS 27 or later; on iOS 26, Apple Pay taps in stores can log themselves. Daily Brief summaries and recognizing gym equipment in photos use Apple Intelligence and need an iPhone that supports it.

Common questions

Is my data sent anywhere?
No. What you enter stays on your iPhone and in its backups. Achilles downloads news headlines for your topics, and events you add to Apple Calendar sync through your calendar account. See the Privacy Policy.

How do I move my data to a new iPhone?
If you restore the new iPhone from a backup of the old one, Achilles comes with it. Otherwise, use Settings › Move or back up your data › Export my data on the old iPhone, save the file in Files, and choose Import an export on the new one (it's on the first page of setup, too). The export is locked with a password you choose; it can't be recovered, so keep it safe.

How do I delete my data?
Settings › Data on this device › Delete all data removes everything Achilles stores on your iPhone. Deleting the app does the same. Neither changes Apple Health or your Apple Calendar.

Apple Health data isn't showing up.
Check Settings › Apple Health in Achilles: it says when Achilles last read Health. If something is missing, iPhone may not allow that kind of data: iPhone Settings › Privacy & Security › Health › Achilles. Health is only readable while your iPhone is unlocked.

Why don't spending notifications show amounts?
So nobody near your phone sees them. They say there's an update; tap one to see it in Expenses. To make all of Achilles' notifications generic, turn on Private mode (the eye button, or Settings › Privacy).

What can I add with Siri?
Anything you can add in the app: say "Log water in Achilles", "Add an expense in Achilles", "Log a run in Achilles", "Add a reminder in Achilles", and so on. Siri asks for what's missing. If Siri asks you to unlock your iPhone, that's because Achilles' data is encrypted while it's locked.

Can purchases and money I receive be logged automatically?
Yes, with a Shortcuts automation on your iPhone. In Expenses, tap Log Apple Pay, Venmo and Zelle automatically, then Turn on automatic logging (Apple Pay purchases) or Turn on email reading (Venmo, Zelle, Cash App and PayPal payments you send or receive, plus deposits and refunds that come by email). Shortcuts opens with the automation ready: tap Add Shortcut, then switch it on in Shortcuts › Library › Automation (iPhone adds it switched off). It runs on your iPhone; nothing is sent to us. Payments you send count as spending, and money you receive as money in.

How do I connect Canvas?
On Today, tap Connect Canvas (or Settings › Assignments › Canvas). In Canvas, open Calendar › Calendar Feed and copy the link, paste it in Achilles and tap Add to Calendar. Apple Calendar subscribes to it, and Achilles shows what's due this week and your next exam. To disconnect, unsubscribe from that calendar in the Calendar app.

I deleted something by mistake.
In Expenses, tap Undo right after deleting. Other deletions can't be undone in the app. If you exported your data before, importing that export brings back everything as it was then (and replaces what's there now).

Deleting your data

Achilles keeps your data only on your devices, so you delete it yourself; we have nothing to delete on our side except emails you sent us.

  1. Everything in Achilles: Achilles › Settings › Data on this device › Delete all data. This erases your entries, Apple Health's copies, your settings, the automation log and any import waiting or kept for undo. It can't be undone. Deleting the app does the same.
  2. Backups: copies of Achilles' data stay in your iPhone backups until those backups are replaced or deleted (iPhone Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Storage › Backups, or your computer's backups).
  3. Exports: delete any "Achilles export" files you saved.
  4. Calendar: events Achilles added (such as gym sessions in the "Achilles" calendar) stay in your calendar until you delete them there, or delete that calendar.
  5. Apple Health: Achilles never writes to Health, so there's nothing of Achilles' there. To stop Achilles reading Health: iPhone Settings › Privacy & Security › Health › Achilles.
  6. Emails to us: ask us to delete your messages and we'll do it within 30 days and tell you when it's done.
